Reporting Elder Abuse in Florida 2 CE

Course Description: Florida statutes require any person who knows or who has reasonable cause to suspect any abuse of vulnerable adults to report that information to the Florida Abuse Hotline. This course will explain what occurs after the Florida Abuse Hotline receives a report and the policies and procedures of the Department of Children and Families to investigate the allegations.

Objectives include: At the end of this course, you will understand what the protocol and procedure is for the Department of Children and Families for investigating allegations of elder abuse in Florida. In addition mental health professionals will understand their responsibility as a mandatory reporter and how to make a abuse report in the State of Florida

 You will receive a link to  enter our online classroom which provides access to the free course material and online post-test. You must pass with a minimum of 80% correct to obtain a certificate. If you fail the post-test you may retake it without limit.  A certificate will be generated upon successful completion of the course. Upon your written request we will mail you a copy.
